Opens sharp and bright, with exotic citrus, cassis, and crushed green leaves. It settles into pink guava, Fuji apple, and orange flower, then finishes warm on cane sugar, vanilla, and white santal. Sweet enough to feel comforting, dry enough to keep it from turning candy.

Palo Santo
Cedarwood and amber first, then the resinous smoke that gives palo santo its name. Lemon leaf cuts through so it never goes heavy, and the incense and cashmere base settles low as it burns. The quietest of our scents, and the one that reads most like a room rather than a candle.

White Sage & Lavender
Lavender comes through first, clean and slightly cool. Then an herbal middle of sage, rosemary, and chamomile, with a sharp, clearing edge of camphor. Cedar and sandalwood settle it into something warm and grounded. Calming without tipping into sweet, more herb garden than bath aisle.

Fresh-cut balsam and green needles, with pine and a clean ozone edge that keeps it crisp instead of sticky. Cedar and a soft woodsy musk hold the base. This is the forest rather than the holiday aisle: no cinnamon, no clove, no sugar.

Description
Each Carbon Candle is hand-poured in Minneapolis using a coconut soy wax blend and a flat braided cotton wick for a clean, even burn — up to 40 hours. The vessel is a one-of-a-kind handmade ceramic, wheel-thrown and glazed by hand, designed to be reused long after the wax is gone. No two are exactly alike.
Made as an object first: minimal, functional, and meant to be kept.
Every glaze is food-safe, so once it's empty and cleaned it becomes your coffee cup. Or bring it back to our studio for a $19 refill.
Embers — Dark Brown Clay
A speckled glaze that breaks into warm whites and browns over our dark brown speckled clay, with the raw clay left bare on the lower half. Every firing pulls a different mix of color out of this glaze, so yours will be its own. Poured in a small run for fall — once this batch is gone, it's gone.

Our candles are designed to be used thoughtfully and enjoyed over time. Following these care guidelines helps ensure a clean burn and a long life for both the candle and the ceramic vessel.
Candle Use & Safety
- Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
- Burn within sight and away from flammable objects.
- Do not burn for more than 3–4 hours at a time.
- Discontinue use when ½ inch of wax remains.
Wick Care
- Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each burn to promote an even flame and reduce soot.
- If the flame becomes too high or flickers, extinguish the candle, allow it to cool, trim the wick, and relight.
First Burn
- Allow the wax to melt fully across the surface during the first burn. This helps prevent tunneling and ensures an even burn throughout the life of the candle.
Ceramic Vessel Care
- Our ceramic vessels are designed to be reused. Once the candle has finished burning and cooled completely, remaining wax can be gently removed with warm water.
- Wash with mild soap and water. Do not place hot ceramic directly onto cold or wet surfaces.
- Each vessel is handmade; slight variations in shape and finish are part of the process and make each piece unique.
- When it's empty, bring it back to our studio for a $19 refill.
Each candle is poured to order in our Minneapolis studio after you choose your fragrance. Orders are made and shipped within 7 days. Larger or custom orders may take up to 2 weeks. If you need your order by a certain date, get in touch before placing it and we'll confirm timing.
