Our candles are poured by hand into ceramic vessels designed to be reused and kept, long after the burn.

About The Maker
Carbon Candle Company was founded by DJ, whose work is shaped by a lifelong interest in both craft and science.
DJ first fell in love with ceramics in high school, where shaping clay into functional objects sparked a lasting appreciation for material, form, and process. That curiosity continued through college, alongside a major in biochemistry—an unexpected pairing that later became foundational to the brand. The intersection of chemistry and ceramics now informs every candle, from material choices to burn quality and performance.
This blending of disciplines is what defines Carbon Candle Company: a studio practice grounded in thoughtful design, careful making, and an appreciation for objects that are as considered as they are useful.
